Our Products

The Polémia Institute Association has developed several workshop-style games in recent years. These games are offered free of charge to our partner organizations and civilians, while they are available for a fee to market players. For pricing and details, please contact us at hello@polemiaintezet.hu.

Who Elected These? - Interactive Workshop

Using the results of the latest large-scale (5,000 participants), representative survey conducted through personal data collection, we will explore in our workshop what the "typical" Fidesz, Momentum, or MKKP voter looks like. Through the game, we will make visible how the voter bases of different parties are similar or different. To quote a classic, we will demonstrate that more connects us than separates us.

Beyond the Death Star: Political and Social Phenomena in the Star Wars Universe – Interactive Workshop

A constant topic of debate in public discourse is that a given political force is doing something wrong for this or that reason. While it may initially seem simple to make good decisions in public life, political decisions are, in reality, difficult to make. Decisions that initially seem like great ideas can be thwarted by unexpected turns or opposing will from other actors. The Polémia Institute invites you to an interactive workshop to demonstrate that making these political decisions is not as easy as it seems, and that decisions which once appeared good often do not lead to success due to reasons beyond our control. For added excitement, the game takes place in the Star Wars universe, and the story's direction is shaped by audience voting.

Bullying in the ONLINE and OFFLINE Space - Free Publication

We prepared a resource for the Igazgyöngy Foundation to help their educators recognize forms of bullying both online and offline, as well as what legal steps they can take when dialogue is no longer a solution. Additionally, we provide games that can help young people understand what information may be shared about them online and what should remain private.

No, No Never!... Or Maybe? – Parliamentary Simulation

In the Polémia Institute's parliamentary simulation game addressing the memory of Trianon, we model what would happen if we could decide whether to reclaim territories that were previously detached. As we have learned in life and politics, every decision has a price. What would we be willing to sacrifice for a territory?

I Am What I Consume (In the Media) – Political Simulation Game

The new information-gathering mechanisms of the 21st century have not only led to the emergence of new forms of socialization but have also transformed news consumption with the spread of the internet and social media. Individuals tend to live in bubbles, which influence their news consumption, information gathering, and often even the composition of their social circles. Are these bubbles useful, and if so, what can we use them for? Or are they solely harmful phenomena? The goal of the workshop is to explore this question through a short presentation and an interactive game.

Privatize Wisely! – Interactive Board Game

You must be familiar with the game "Gazdálkodj okosan"... and the worm growers? This game is about the bloody debates surrounding the regime change, József Torgyán, farmers' protests, and others! During the regime change, you want to turn your existing capital and compensation from the old system into the largest capital possible to achieve your personal goals and be successful in the Third Republic. You need to manage your money wisely, possibly sell your compensation vouchers or even buy from someone. You never know how much they will be worth; you only know that in land auctions, the stronger will prevail. Don’t give up! You might become the biggest winner of privatization!

Third Shift: Invisible Work in the Household and Beyond - Interactive Workshop

Cooking, washing, cleaning, caring, and organizing family life are the tasks that pile up after work, most of which are still performed by women, unpaid. What makes domestic work invisible? How is it related to capitalism? What do we call emotional labor, and where are its boundaries? How does invisible work reinforce gender inequalities? And what can we do about it on a societal level? Come and let’s search for answers to these questions together in our interactive workshop!

Are You Really a Left-Liberal? Find Out Now! – Interactive Political Dictionary

What does it mean to be right or left-wing? Does leftism even exist? Did it mean something different ten years ago than it does today? What does the concept mean in political science and in general public discourse? How do these ideologies adapt to new trends in 21st-century Hungary? We will seek answers to these questions in the Polémia Institute's interactive game, where participants can learn about the main ideologies in a playful way.

Inductive Political Dictionary - Interactive Workshop

Have you ever not understood a political term in an article or video? Or felt like the world of politics was as if it weren’t in Hungarian? In our playful workshop, we will decipher the most basic concepts in public life together with you.

Presidential Affairs - Interactive Workshop

How is it that today we tend to vote for individuals rather than parties? How did political leaders emerge from their parties? Is there a rational voter who votes by weighing party programs? In our workshop, we will familiarize ourselves with the concepts of political messiah, presidentialization, personalization, and mediatization through a playful quiz and group activities.

Politics History Made Easy! - Political Historical Walks with Polémia

The aim of the Polémia Institute's historical walks is to help participants better understand the history of the regime change and the period since then from a public perspective. In our walks, participants can connect interactively with events, gaining deeper knowledge about recent political events and getting to know Budapest better, all while enjoying the fresh air. We believe that learning is easiest when it is interspersed with examples and practical elements. The walks are led by social scientists, ensuring professional preparedness.
Currently, we have developed three routes:
1. Pig-Headed Lords: Várkert bazár - Buda Castle - Sándor Palace - Karmelita Monastery - Chain Bridge - Las Vegas Casino - Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
2. Governments Year by Year: Bálna - Pest Vigadó - Parliament - White House - Jászai Mari Square (Nagy Imre Statue) - Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
